To continue using compatible cartridges, it is strongly recommended to disable automatic firmware updates in your printer settings.
Installation Guidance
Return to the printer home screen before installing a new cartridge.
After installing the cartridge, the printer may display a “Non-Brother Ink” prompt — select “Yes” to continue printing.
Additional Notes
• If a “Non-Brother Ink” or “?” message appears, bypass the prompt and continue printing.
• If the printer displays “Cannot Detect Ink Volume” or “Replace Ink”, remove and reinstall the cartridge repeatedly until the ink level displays as full.
